Customisable, energy efficient infant formula plants
As one of the finest applications within the dairy landscape, Nutritional Formulations (infant formula/IF) process plants requires an intense focus on cleanability, hygienic design, safety, repeatability in process parameters and reliable equipment. The production of Infant Formula demands a high focus on product safety, traceability of raw materials and quality which often leads to many energy-consuming steps in terms of heat treatment. Mixing unit designed for Infant Formula
One of the key processes in an Infant Formula plant is the mixing plant. Here SiccaDania has developed a special designed unit with our own special mixer (VacuumMaster) as well as an intensive energy recovery and reuse system to reduce energy consumption. By using a VacuumMaster from SiccaDania, the powder ingredients are introduced into the mixer by powerful vacuum and instantly dispersed in the liquid by use of the VacuumMaster. With the integration of a SiccaDania VacuumMaster, saves approx. 20% energy is proven, compared to more conventional mixing technologies.
For our customers, the direct driven VacuumMaster gives benefits as; minimum number of spare parts, reduced footprint by 30%, lower cost for the daily running compared with other mixer on the marked and a maximum noise level to approx. 75dB.
Optimised drying and processing
Further, SiccaDania has developed a heat treatment and buffer storage system to optimize the quality and bacteriological composition of the final powders.
The evaporator finishers are specially developed to run with a very low energy consumption before the final concentrate is forwarded to our spray drying plant.
SiccaDania Spray Dryers are designed for 24/7 operation, which improves capacity and powder quality. The design makes the spray dryer very flexible in production of different IF and Milk based powders with requirements for different powder specifications.
