SiccaDania is pleased to inform that an order for a sophisticated spray dryer for the production of proteins has been secured from IMPROVE SAS in France. The spray dryer is of the multi-stage configuration with the integrated fluid bed with separate air supply system and fines return system below the cyclone blowing the fine particles back to the wet atomization zone for the production of dust-free agglomerated particles.
The SiccaDania Small Scale Spray Dryers is a skid-mounted unit complete with water balance tank, feed pump, feed tank, inlet air filter, electrical heater for heating of main air, co-current two-fluid nozzle atomizer, drying chamber in support with sight glass, chamber door and light source, rupture disc for protection against powder explosion, easy detachable cyclone for separation of the fines from the exhaust air, and finally a direct driven stainless steel exhaust fan. The integrated fluid bed is installed below the drying chamber and complete with separate air supply system consisting of direct driven stainless steel fan and an electrical heater for the secondary air stream. The dried powder is discharged from the outlet of the integrated fluid bed into a powder container. The entire process is controlled and monitored from a sophisticated PLC based control system with touch-screen operator panel. The SiccaDania Small Scale plants are pre-wired and tested prior to delivery. All parts in contact with product are made of stainless steel, AISI 316. The rest in stainless steel AISI 304.
The plant is expected to be operational during November 2016.
