Tailor-made solutions, expertise, flexibility and efficiency were all important for Molochny Kombinat “Stavropolsky” (MKS) in Stavropol, Russia when choosing a supplier for optimising their dairy production. As one of the largest producers of dairy products in the southern part of Russia, MKS, continued optimisation of the production is important.
MKS selected the SiccaDania Group due to their significant in-house process expertise, flexibility as well as tailor-made solutions, which in this case was a perfect fit with the requirements of MKS.
The SiccaDania lactose production plant
SiccaDania offered a complete lactose production line including crystallisation, separation, drying, packaging, central CIP plant and automation for the entire plant. “SiccaDania has taken the well-proven lactose production process that has been utilized for many years and have optimised as well as fine-tuned the process within several areas. Such developments add not only value to our customers but also reliability, flexibility and ease of the entire operation” says CEO, Soren Sten Rasmussen. MKS has benefited from choosing a supplier with extensive knowledge and experience in undertaking complete project integration of complex wet and dry processes, involving extensive interaction and understanding between the downstream evaporation/demineralisation plant and the final lactose process line and packaging. The new and optimised Lactose plant was taken into the production line in November 2018.
SiccaDania (SD Filtration) delivers Membrane Filtration to Stavropol.
SiccaDania entry into membrane filtration was early 2018, with the establishment of SD Filtration A/S which was formerly launched at the Anuga FoodTech in March 2018. The “new” SiccaDania filtration team (SD Filtration) has significant experience and have previously been engaged in many customer projects around the world.
The combination of being part of the SiccaDania group and their successful market performance, SD Filtration was immediately attractive to many customers. This also included Stavropol Dairy, whom recently had ordered the complete Lactose Plant from SiccaDania.
This strong partnership and the SD Filtration team’s in-depth knowledge of cross flow filtration and solutions, resulted in a contract for a complete SD Filtration™ Nano Filtration plant for concentration and partial demineralization of Sweet Whey and UF Permeate. Stavropol also decided to add new automation to an existing filtration unit, facilitating fast service support from the SD Filtration team, thereby making the cooperation closer and more effective.
The scope of supply enabled re-use and integration of the existing CIP dosing unit for both plants, including a uniform and logical HMI interface and “Plug & Produce” application software.
“Our cooperation with highly skilled local partners with in depth knowledge of the specific customer site for supervision and partly commissioning, really completes a truly unique value proposition. The aftersales service both locally and remotely is second to none” says Lars Bo Fredsted, Managing director, SD Filtration. The SD Filtration plant will be operational in the first quarter of 2019.
